As NFL free agency unwinds over the next couple of weeks, we'll be covering each of the Philadelphia Eagles' outside signings, re-signings, retirements, departing players, and other noteworthy developments in great detail. This page will serve as overview of what the Birds do, as they do it, with links to each individual story that we publish. Bookmark 🔖, please.
• CB Riq Woolen: The Eagles signed Woolen to a one-year deal reported as "up to" $15 million. Woolen is a size-speed freak of nature who had an incredible start to his NFL career, but has cooled off more recently. (STORY HERE)
• TE Johnny Mundt: Mundt is a good blocking tight end, which is something the Eagles could have used in 2025. (STORY HERE)
• CB Jonathan Jones: Jones signed a one-year deal. At 32 years of age, he is either old or experienced, depending on your viewpoint. He has some inside-outside versatility and will compete for a job in training camp. (STORY HERE)
• EDGE Arnold Ebiketie: Ebiketie signed in Philly on a one-year deal after playing in Atlanta the first four years of his NFL career. He has some talent but he became expendable after the Falcons drafted two edge defenders in the first round of the 2025 draft. (STORY HERE)
• WR Marquise Brown: Brown caught 49 passes for 587 yards and 5 TDs with the Chiefs last season. (STORY HERE)
• TE Stone Smartt: Smartt is a college quarterback who converted to tight end, so, you know, Howie couldn't help himself. (STORY HERE)
• RB Dameon Pierce: Pierce had a good rookie season for the Texans in 2022, but his career fell off thereafter. (STORY HERE)
• S J.T. Gray: Gray is a highly decorated special teams player, having been named All-Pro three times in his career. (STORY HERE)
• WR Elijah Moore: Moore signed as a free agent with the Bills last season and caught 9 passes for 112 yards and 0 TDs before he was waived. He'll battle for a roster spot in Philly. (STORY HERE)
• iDL Jordan Davis: Davis signed a three-year contract extension worth $78 million. (STORY HERE)
• TE Dallas Goedert: Goedert surprisingly returned on a one-year deal. But almost as importantly as Goedert's return for one more season was that the Eagles were able to push dead money on his old deal into future years, freeing up a big chunk of cap space in 2027. (STORY HERE)
• DB Michael Carter II: Per The Athletic's Zach Berman, Carter II had his contract renegotiated to avoid being cut. He was previously slated to have a salary of more than $10 million in 2025. Carter should get some looks at nickelback and safety in 2026.
• TE Grant Calcaterra: Calcaterra is back for his fifth season with the Eagles, after a 2025 season in which he was used almost exclusively as a blocking tight end when blocking isn't his strength. (STORY HERE)
• P Braden Mann: Mann has brought some stability to the Eagles' punt team. He is now under contract through 2029 after signing a four-year deal worth $14 million. (STORY HERE)
• S Marcus Epps: Bringing Epps back felt like foregone conclusion after Reed Blankenship left to play for the Texans. (STORY HERE)
• OT Fred Johnson: Johnson likely peeked around for opportunities to start elsewhere, but he's back as the team's swing tackle again. (STORY HERE)
• QB Andy Dalton: The Eagles traded a seventh-round pick to the Panthers for Dalton. (STORY HERE)
• S Sydney Brown: Vic Fangio had no use for Brown, a third-round bust who never lived up to expectations in three seasons with the Eagles. (STORY HERE)
• EDGE Jaelan Phillips: Phillips reportedly agreed to terms with the Panthers on a four-year deal worth $120 million. (STORY HERE)
• WR Jahan Dotson: Dotson reportedly agreed to terms on a two-year deal worth $15 million with the Falcons, with $10 million guaranteed. (STORY HERE)
• LB Nakobe Dean: Dean has an agreement on a three-year deal worth $36 million from the Raiders, per his agent. The Eagles, and defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, value Dean as a player and leader, but Jihaad Campbell is waiting in the wings and the Eagles couldn't compete with that kind of offer for their former third-round pick. (STORY HERE)
• S Reed Blankenship: Blankenship will be getting a three-year, $24.75 million deal with the Texans. He was an absolute home run as an undrafted free agent signing, but he played out his current contract and now leaves the Eagles in need of a new safety. (STORY HERE)
• OL Matt Pryor: Pryor, a 2018 Eagles draft pick who came back last year to be a reserve guard/tackle, is signing a one-year deal with the Cardinals.
• iOL Brett Toth: Toth has been with the Eagles every year in some capacity since 2019, and he played well in relief of Cam Jurgens and Landon Dickerson in 2025. He is signing with the 49ers. (STORY HERE)
• QB Sam Howell: The Eagles made an insure trade for Howell before the start of the 2025 season, and he never played a snap in Philadelphia. He's now headed to the Cowboys. (STORY HERE)
• EDGE Josh Uche: Uche was part of the Eagles' pass rotation early in the 2025, but was phased out after Brandon Graham came out of retirement and the team traded for Jaelan Phillips. He reportedly agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the Dolphins.
• EDGE Azeez Ojulari: Ojulari was the Eagles' biggest outside signing last offseason, and the presumed third edge rusher when he got his deal. However, he did nothing in training camp, and fell down the depth chart behind a whole slew of other edge defenders. Ojulari appeared in just 3 games, and had 6 tackles. He reportedly signed with the Falcons.
• RB A.J. Dillon: Dillon was not a useful player in his one season with the Eagles. He is signing with the Panthers.
None yet.
• LG Landon Dickerson: Dickerson's contract got adjusted. He is now making a little less money in 2026 and 2027, and the final year of his deal in 2028 was lopped off. (STORY HERE)
