Media is playing in the Little League World Series for the first time; here's how to watch

Media is going to the Little League World Series for the first time after winning the Mid-Atlantic regionals tournament. The Delaware County team plays its first game in Williamsport on Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2023 at 7 p.m. The double-elimination tournament will air on ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC. Several Philadelphia-area teams have made the LLWS in recent years, including the Taney Dragons, who were led by Mo'ne Davis in 2014.

Madonna reschedules Philly concert at Wells Fargo Center for Jan. 25

Madonna delayed her international Celebration Tour after an unexpected hospitalization for a bacterial infection in late June. The rescheduled dates include a concert at the Wells Fargo Center, originally slated for Dec. 20. It will now be held Jan. 25, 2024, but tickets for the original date will be honored.

Dock Street Brewing's newest beer is an Indian-inspired tart lime ale

Dock Street Brewing Co. teamed up with AAJI's, a local Indian food purveyor, for its new beer, Shikanji Gose. The 4% ABV tart lime ale was inspired by the shikanji, an Indian and Pakistani drink. It will be sold at both Dock Street locations in four-packs and on draft beginning Wednesday, Aug. 16.

Older women who consume sugar-sweetened beverages like soda and energy drinks every day are more likely to develop liver cancer or die of chronic liver disease, new research shows.
