Nicholas Mark, 22, allegedly stole a tip jar from Pizza D'Oro in Catasauqua, Pennsylvania, on Aug. 26. Police were able to identify him, in part, because he had filled out a job application with his contact information at the same shop earlier in the day.

Allen Iverson honored his former Georgetown University coach John Thompson, who died Sunday night at 78 years old. Thompson played an instrumental role in steering Iverson away from his off-the-court trouble on the way to building a Hall of Fame NBA career, spent mostly with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Philadelphia's homeless encampments on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and Ridge Avenue have been given a final notice to clear by Sept. 9, 2020. A federal judge ruled last week that the city had the authority to terminate and dissolve the encampments, which formed in June.
