A horse from Cape May Carriage Company collapsed and died during a tour last week, prompting criticism from animal rights activists who want to end the practice. A necropsy found no signs of abuse or neglect. The 18-year-old draft horse, named Ice, likely suffered a fatal blood clot or heart attack.

Woman faces charge of making false report about teen with gun on Wildwood boardwalk, prompting evacuation

A Bucks County woman is facing charges for allegedly making a false report to police about seeing a teenager with a gun enter Morey's Piers on the Wildwood boardwalk. The report prompted authorities to evacuate the amusement park on July 22. Police later determined that Taylor Erickson, 29, of Bristol, fabricated the story after getting into an argument with a group of juveniles, investigators said.

Two teens charged in assault of man on North Wildwood boardwalk

Weeks after a man was assaulted in North Wildwood, authorities say they have arrested a 17-year-old from Philadelphia and a 16-year-old from Ivyland, Bucks County. The attack happened on June 8 on the boardwalk at 26th Street, police said.

Golfer Jordan Spieth's foundation will fund new putting green at Cobbs Creek

The Jordan Speith Foundation awarded the Cobbs Creek Foundation a $250,000 grant to construct practice putting green for young players at the course in West Philadelphia.
