Pennsylvania state Sen. Marty Flynn, D-Lackawanna, plans to introduce legislation that would enable motorists to use apps like Venmo, PayPal and Cash App to pay tolls on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. The turnpike has seen toll collection revenue plummet since transitioning to an all-electronic system that uses only E-ZPass and a toll-by-plate invoice system that results in delays and unpaid tolls.

Norcross III has purchased Formica Bakery, a 100-year-old Atlantic City business that has supplied bread to some of New Jersey's most iconic delis and hoagie shops, like White House Subs. The Norcross family plans to embark on a multimillion dollar expansion of the company, broadening distribution nationwide under the new name Formica Freitag Bakery.

Buena Onda, the popular Baja-themed taqueria from restaurateur Jose Garces, will expand this spring with new locations in Rittenhouse and Radnor. The original location opened at 1901 Callowhill St. in 2015. The restaurant is known for its tacos, bowls, guacamole and alcoholic beverages.

Action News anchor Jim Gardner gave his final 11 p.m. news broadcast on 6ABC on Tuesday night. Gardner, who has been with the station for 45 years, plans to retire at the end of 2022. Longtime anchor Rick Williams will replace him.

Elvyn Rodriguez, 32, of Norristown, has been charged with murder and related offenses in the Jan. 10 shooting of his ex-girlfriend, 28-year-old Keishla Arroyo Rodriguez, at her apartment on West Main Street, according to Montgomery County prosecutors.

Kevin Hart, Meek Mill, Michael Rubin and joined forces to donate $15 million to support underserved students in the Philadelphia area. The funds will be provided to 110 schools in the region to help thousands of Philadelphia families. A spokesperson said the donation will go to private and parochial schools in order to enable underprivileged students to attend.

Max McGee, a Temple University graduate and Cherry Hill native, has been hired by ESPN to be an anchor on the network's flagship "SportsCenter" program. McGee joins ESPN after two years covering sports for Baltimore's WJZ-TV. He'll start on "SportsCenter" on Jan. 31.

Delaware's Electronic Speed Safety Program on I-95 in Wilmington will be phased in beginning Monday, Jan. 17 in the work zone covering the "Restore the Corridor" project, the department of transportation said. The program, which will Violation warnings and notices with fines will be mailed to motorists after the first 30 days of the program. Crashes have increased significantly along this stretch of I-95 in Wilmington in the last two years.

The 12 people who died in last week's Fairmount rowhome fire were not alerted to the flames because the smoke detectors in their unit were inoperable, Philadelphia Fire Commissioner Adam Thiel said. He also said on Tuesday that it is likely the fire started when a 5-year-old boy ignited a Christmas tree with a lighter. The Philadelphia Department of Public Health provided the names of the victims for the first time on Tuesday: Rosalee McDonald, 33; Virginia Thomas, 30; Quinsha White, 18; Quientien Tate-McDonald, 16; Destiny McDonald, 15; Shaniece Wayne, 10; Dekwan Robinson, 8; Natasha Wayne, 7; J'Kwan Robinson, 5; Janiyah Roberts, 3; Taniesha Robinson, 3; Tiffany Robinson, 2.
