Philadelphia released a traffic impact study examine how the 76ers proposed arena in Center City will affect transportation, parking and other travel logistics in the city and the region. The independent study looks at how the team and city can manage congestion created by the $1.55 billion project on East Market Street.

Frozen remains found 47 years ago on the Appalachian Trail are identified as Montgomery County man

The remains of a man found frozen in a cave on the Appalachian Trail in Berks County nearly five decades ago have been identified as Nicholas Paul Grubbs, a 27-year-old from Fort Washington who died from a drug overdose. Grubbs' body was found by a pair of hikers near the Pinnacle, a popular vista in Albany Township. Until fingerprints led to his identification this month, Grubbs was known as "Pinnacle Man."

SEPTA to run more Regional Rail trains on weekends to meet growing demand

SEPTA is adding more Regional Rail train service on weekends this fall to accommodate growing demand. The new schedule includes the restoration of 30-minute weekend service between Philadelphia International Airport and Center City. On most lines, hourly weekend service also will be fully restored, officials said.

West Philly rapper YBC Dul flaunted guns and bragged about violent reputation in video posted a day before he was killed

West Philadelphia rapper YBC Dul, who was fatally shot in Olney on Friday, bragged about his violent reputation and flaunted guns during an interview with popular YouTuber Brandon Buckingham. The day after the video was posted, YBC Dul, whose real name is Abdul Vicks, was fatally shot. No arrests have been made.

Jersey Shore bridge reopens with a 'miracle,' some luck and a 400-pound motor from Allentown

The Middle Throrofare Bridge connecting Wildwood Crest and Diamond Beach to mainland New Jersey has been repaired and reopened to traffic as of early Wednesday morning. During the weekend, the motor that opens and closes the Jersey Shore drawbridge failed and officials thought the bridge would be closed indefinitely.

Stoneleigh public garden in Villanova to expand with sale of Oakwell estate

Lower Merion School District agreed to sell the 13-acre Oakwell estate in Villanova to conservation nonprofit Natural Lands, which plans to incorporate a portion of the property into the neighboring 42-acre Stoneleigh public garden. The land had been part of a controversial school district plan to clear hundreds of trees to make way for new athletic fields. Opponents worked for years to ensure the preservation of the property.

Temporary repair planned for damaged bridge between Wildwood Crest and Cape May

Cape May County officials plan to pursue a temporary solution to the motor failure that caused the Middle Throrofare Bride to become indefinitely stuck in an upright position on Saturday. The drawbridge between Cape May and Wildwood Crest and Diamond Beach will get an auxiliary motor in the coming weeks, allowing the bridge to open and close, while a custom primary motor is built over the next six months, officials said.

A Formula One arcade with simulated racing is coming to Center City

F1 Arcade, a gaming venue with Formula One racing simulators, will open in Philadelphia in 2025 at 1330 Chestnut St. The arcade puts gamers into open cockpits that are stationed in front of screens that simulate race courses from around the world. The seats and steering wheels are responsive to the twists and turns of races.
