Jalen Hurts' grasp of another new offense is once again a key sticking point in Eagles training camp.
There was once a "big three" of fantasy football quarterbacks – Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes. If not for injuries, Joe Burrow could've made it a "big four," and after a brilliant rookie season in 2024 it appeared Jayden Daniels could enter that conversation.
In 2026, there is the "big one." It is Josh Allen, in a class by himself.
Allen actually didn't score the most fantasy points by a quarterback last season – that distinction belonged to Matthew Stafford – but Allen finished second, ahead of Drake Maye, and there's no reason to think he won't be No. 1 again in 2026.
Stafford is one of the NFL's most volatile stat producers from year to year, and Maye's emergence against a soft schedule last season can't be depended on to be replicated.
Meanwhile, Jackson comes off a subpar and injury-marred season in which he saw steep declines in both passing and rushing stats, and it's been years since Mahomes has been a fantasy superstar, and he's coming off ACL surgery with modest weapons around him.
That leaves Allen as the unquestioned top fantasy QB – someone worth grabbing before the end of Round 3 if not sooner, even in a time when it's not as sensible to draft QBs before the fifth or sixth round.
Thanks to an offense that's centered around him and him only, Allen has never finished lower than second among NFL QBs in fantasy points scored in any of the past five seasons, per Yahoo! He was the only QB last year to have at least 25 TD passes and double-digit rushing TDs (14).
Don't expect that to change in 2026.
Here's a look at the tiers of QBs and our top 25 at the position:

It's basically the same offensive supporting cast, but with the addition of WR D.J. Moore, which could help Allen generate more passing TDs but is unlikely to majorly impact his rushing TDs.

You'll kick yourself for drafting another QB ahead of Lamar Jackson if he responds with another MVP-caliber season, which he's perfectly capable of doing.
Joe Burrow's o-line isn't the sieve it once was, and he's got more weapons than anyone; a 50-TD season isn't out of the realm.
Jayden Daniels, if he stays health, has the makeup to have a peak Lamar type of season.
Mike McDaniel's offense got a healthy Tua Tagovailoa to once pass for 4,600 yards and 29 TDs; imagine what his scheme will do for a much more talented Justin Herbert?
Bears coach Ben Johnson wants to produce the highest-scoring offense in NFL history. He has our attention – and our desire to buy stock in QB Caleb Williams, who could easily be a top-three fantasy QB in 2026 with his combo of passing and rushing.
If he can learn to avoid contact, Giants QB Jaxson Dart can be one of the great fantasy scorers whose rushing stats propel him into the upper crust of fantasy QBs, especially if Malik Nabers returns at full strength.
Keep an eye on Bo Nix. The Broncos have the NFL's best o-line and added speed dimension Jaylen Waddle, giving Nix the downfield target he desperately needed. Nix finished as the eighth highest scoring QB in 2025; a top five finish this year could be reachable.
Saints QB Tyler Shough averaged 16.2 points per game as a rookie after taking took over as QB1 by Week 8. Over 17 games, that would've made him QB15 for the season. The Saints added first-round WR Jordyn Tyson and free agent RB Travis Etienne to bolster the offense. Head coach Kellen Moore runs an up-tempo attack. All the makings are there for Shough to crack the top 10.
Packers QB Jordan Love has all the arm talent needed to pass for 4,000 yards and 35 TDs. If coach Matt LaFleur decides to open the playbook – and he might have to – we could see a major surge from Love, last year's 14th highest scoring QB.
The Rams will feature a great offense but they're still a run-heavy team that lacks explosive playmakers outside of Puka Nacua. Expecting Matthew Stafford to repeat his 47 touchdowns from last year and be the top-ranked fantasy QB is a little far-fetched.
Dak Prescott has plenty of weapons and threw 30 TDs last year to be the fifth highest scoring QB, but check his year-to-year stats. He has never thrown for 30+ TDs in back to back seasons.
Nine rushing TDs last year inflated Trevor Lawrence's point production. Wouldn't bank on another nine on the ground this season.
