Families trick-or-treat around Pennsbury Manor during a previous Tricks & Treats event. The free Halloween celebration returns Oct. 25 with activities throughout William Penn’s reconstructed Bucks County estate.
Pennsbury Manor is opening its grounds for a free Halloween afternoon on Oct. 25, with trick-or-treating throughout William Penn’s reconstructed Bucks County estate.
The annual Tricks & Treats event runs from 1-4 p.m. at Pennsbury Manor, 400 Pennsbury Memorial Road in Morrisville. Organizers expect as many as 1,000 children to attend with their families.
One of the more unusual activities will let visitors sit on the jury during a recreation of the 1683 trial of Margaret Mattson, a Pennsylvania colonist accused of witchcraft. William Penn presided over the actual case.
