The Landover team lost a number of decent contributors, but at least that cleared some cap space to spend on new acquisitions. So what did they do? They blew a ton of money on a box safety, signed a few additional old guys, traded for a quarterback similar to the flawed one they already have, and added one of the biggest draft busts in the last decade.

NFL free agency will officially begin on Wednesday, March 13, at 4:00 p.m., which marks the beginning of the 2019 new league year. However, beginning on Monday, March 11, the NFL will enter the "legal tampering period" in which teams are allowed to contact soon-to-be free agents before the official start of free agency (as if they haven't been already). Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Haloti Ngata announced that he is retiring from the NFL on Monday morning. He spent nine seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, three with the Detroit Lions, and his final season in 2018 with the Eagles.
