Delaware County drops plan for mental health facility at former Don Guanella school

Delaware County will no longer pursue a plan to open a mental health treatment facility on a portion of the future Delco Woods park in Marple Township. The 213-acre site, formerly the Don Guanella school, was acquired by eminent domain to be turned into an open space. Plans to use a portion of it for mental health services drew heavy opposition.

South Jersey man arrested for stowing baby deer in shopping bag, police say

A Mays Landing man was arrested for hiding a baby deer inside a shopping bag outside a ShopRite in Stafford Township, police said. Officers allegedly found the animal when it poked its head out of the man's grocery bag. Matthew Keithley, 23, was also charged with possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

Eight foreign nationals from Tajikistan were arrested during raids by U.S. ICE agents in Philadelphia, New York City and Los Angeles. The men are suspected of having ties to the terrorist group ISIS and potentially could be deported, authorities said

A 190-year-old mansion in Montgomery County can only be spared from demolition if it's moved off a sprawling property in Limerick near the Philadelphia Premium Outlets. About 1,900 New Jersey mail-in ballots that were opened too early by election officials must be counted in the state's 2nd District, an Atlantic County Superior Court judged ruled Friday.
