Frontier Airlines will introduce new routes out of Philadelphia International Airport this spring to Chicago, Boston, Cincinnati, Cleveland, San Antonio and Kansas City. The low-cost carrier, which recently announced a planned merger with Spirit Airlines, will offer cheap introductory fares on the new flights from Philadelphia that can be purchased through March 15.

Philadelphia adult contemporary radio station 106.1 The Breeze will change formats again after iHeartRadio revealed the FM station is under construction. Valerie Knight, a longtime radio personality in Philadelphia, announced that her show on the station is canceled and that she has been terminated. 106.1 The Breeze lasted just over three years with the tag line "Philadlephia's Relaxing Favorites."

Philadelphia developer BG Capital will renovate and reopen the Isle of Capri Motel in North Wildwood, one of a dwindling number of the Jersey Shore town's Doo Wop-style buildings that once defined an era. The 20-unit motel, which will be renamed the Seaport Inn, is expected to be ready for business in the summer of 2022.

A 30-year-old man was fatally shot outside a Wendy's fast-food restaurant in the Huntingdon Valley section of Abington Township on Monday, March 7. The shooting appears to have stemmed from a domestic dispute, according to investigators. At the scene, authorities questioned a 32-year-old woman whose identity was not immediately revealed. A gun was recovered, police said.

A GoFundMe campaign is raising money to support the family of Hatboro police officer Ryan Allen, who suffered severe injuries resulting from a reaction to a bee sting in October 2021. Allen, a father of two, went into anaphylactic shock and had a heart attack. He also suffered severe brain injuries due to a lack of oxygen. After months of rehabilitation, Allen's wife, Whitney, revealed that her husband will not make a recovery from his injuries will return home to spend the last few weeks of his life in hospice care.
