Alabama's Nick Saban joining Peyton, Eli Manning for Eagles-Cowboys 'Monday Night Football' broadcast

Alabama football coach Nick Saban will join the "Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli" broadcast on ESPN2 and ESPN+ for the Eagles-Cowboys game. Saban formerly coached Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, wide receiver DeVonta Smith and offensive lineman Landon Dickerson at Alabama.

Man wanted for bathroom assault during Green Day concert at Citizen Bank Park

A man who police say assaulted a concertgoer at Citizens Bank Park in South Philadelphia last month is wanted by Philadelphia police. Investigators said the incident happened in a bathroom during the Aug. 20 Hella Mega Tour concert featuring Green Day, Weezer, Fall Out Boy and The Interruptors. The victim suffered facial injuries resulting from the alleged attack.

'Top Chef' judge bringing Root & Sprig to new Penn Pavilion

Celebrity chef Tom Colicchio will open his fast-casual Root & Sprig concept at the new Penn Pavilion hospital, which is set to fully open in October. The hospital also will have a Bower Cafe, the second location from Philadelphia coffee guru Thane Wright. The Penn Pavilion, a $1.5 million expansion to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, includes 500 private patient rooms, 47 operating rooms, an ER and a hub that connects the building to other parts of the Penn Medicine campus.

Stink bug invasion could be worse than usual in Pennsylvania this fall

Parts of Pennsylvania may see higher numbers of brown marmorated stink bugs attempting to seek winter shelter inside homes this fall thanks to an especially hot summer, which contributes to larger populations of the invasive pest. Homeowners are advised to seal open cracks and crevices where stink bigs are likely to make entry during September and October.

For women with infertility, baby boy born through Penn's uterus transplant program is a symbol of hope

The Penn Medicine Uterus Transplant Program celebrated its first child born from a living-donor uterus transplant in May. The recipient and donor, Chelsea Jovanovich and Cheryl Cichonski-Urban, have formed a lifelong bond around the journey they experienced. Now the Penn team is raising awareness of women's infertility and advocating for changes to the U.S. health care system to make the treatment more accessible.

Winning $2 million Powerball lottery ticket sold at Wawa in Center City

A winning Powerball ticket worth $2 million was sold at a Wawa convenience store in Philadelphia ahead of the drawing on Wednesday, Sept. 22. The store in Logan Square, at 1707 Arch St., will receive a $10,000 bonus. Another winning Powerball ticket worth $2 million was sold at a Wawa in Pottstown, Chester County earlier this month.

Kate Scott to become Sixers' new play-by-play announcer on TV broadcasts

Kate Scott will be the Philadelphia 76ers new play-by-play announcer for the team's TV broadcasts on NBC Sports Philadelphia. She fills the seat that had been occupied by Marc Zumoff, the Sixers legendary broadcaster for 27 years. Scott is the first woman to call games full-time for a pro sports team in Philadelphia and the second woman to handle play-by-play duties full-time for an NBA team.

Contractor was hired to reseal driveways then allegedly just painted surfaces with black paint, Delco D.A. says

Two men face charges for pressuring homeowners in a Delaware County to hire them to reseal their driveways and then allegedly performing shoddy work, covering their driveways with black paint instead of sealant, authorities said. The Delaware County District Attorney's Office believe the pair has targeted senior citizens, and there could be more residents caught in the alleged scam. They are urged to come forward.

New Fishtown music venue Brooklyn Bowl sets opening date

Brooklyn Bowl Philadelphia, a new music venue in Fishtown, will debut Nov. 4, kicking off an initial run of 30 shows over the next several months. The venue, a LiveNation partner, includes bowling lanes and a restaurant. It adds to a growing district of music venues in Fishtown that have opened over the past several years, including the Fillmore Philadelphia and The Foundry.
