NextFab's Miracle on American Street Holiday Gift Market will return to Philadelphia on Nov. 21 with more than 80 local makers, live demonstrations and hands-on activities. The event is free to attend.
Holiday shopping will come with a chance to watch local makers at work when NextFab opens its Philadelphia makerspace for the sixth annual Miracle on American Street Holiday Gift Market.
The free event takes place Saturday, Nov. 21, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at NextFab in Philadelphia, where more than 80 local makers will sell handmade jewelry, clothing, ceramics, home décor, artwork and other gifts.
Shoppers can browse the vendor tables while getting a look inside NextFab, a membership-based workshop where artists and entrepreneurs use shared equipment to design and produce their work.
New this year is Maker Magic, an area dedicated to live demonstrations and hands-on activities. Participating makers will show how they work with different materials, and attendees will have opportunities to try crafts and create small items to take home.
Food will be available throughout the day, with Sor Ynéz serving Mexican dishes including tacos, tamales and churros, along with hot chocolate. Other food vendors listed by NextFab include Alex Is Spicy, 1984 Cakes, Willy Waffles and DumpNRoll.
Admission is free, and the market is open to all ages. It will take place rain or shine. Additional information and the participating vendor list are available through NextFab.
