Eagles training camp notes, Day 4: Sloppy offense

Day 4 of Philadelphia Eagles training camp got a late start at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday evening, because NFL Network was running day-long look-ins at all 32 NFL camps, and that required the Eagles to start later than usual, or something? Whatever, who cares. That practice is in the books, and as always, we have notes.

Eagles' potential first-round pick for Carson Wentz becoming unlikely

For most of the offseason, I think we (fans, media, the team, etc.) have thought of the Eagles as having three first-round picks in 2022. We should probably start thinking of them having two first-round picks, and being pleasantly surprised if they end up with three.

The Philadelphia Eagles announced on Thursday evening that they signed safety Obi Melifonwu, a former second round pick of the Raiders, and wide receiver Andre Patton, formerly of the Chargers and Dolphins.

Eagles training camp notes, Day 3: Some quarterback observations

Day 3 of Philadelphia Eagles training camp is in the books, and it was a quick practice, as the lads were only on the field for about an hour and 10 minutes. Still, there were observations to be made, so let's get right to it.

Eagles training camp notes, Day 2: Jordan Mailata takes early LT lead over Andre Dillard

It was a cool, overcast day at the NovaCare Complex on Wednesday for Philadelphia Eagles training camp Day No. 2. The lads were still in shells and shorts, but we have our first update on the best battle in camp, at left tackle.

Keeping Zach Ertz on the Eagles' roster in 2021 does not make much sense

Zach Ertz is the best tight end in Philadelphia Eagles franchise history, a Super Bowl hero, and fan favorite. As such, he will forever be a legendary figure in Philly. Emotional and sentimental attachments aside, however, there's no good reason that Ertz should remain on the Eagles' roster in 2021.

Should the Eagles have interest in Dolphins CB Xavien Howard?

Miami Dolphins cornerback Xavien Howard is awesome, but, spoiler, no, the Philadelphia Eagles should not have interest in him.

Eagles training camp notes, Day 1: Actual football is back!

Philadelphia Eagles 2021 training camp is underway, and Nick Sirianni actually held a spirited practice to kick things off, even if it was kinda short. Under Doug Pederson in 2020, the team started with an uneventful 10-10-10 practice. Let's get right to the notes.

Mailbag: Why are the Eagles employing the 'old guy strategy,' again, in a rebuilding year?

We haven't had an Eagles chat in a while, but we'll be getting back to those soon. For now, I solicited questions from my Twitter followers for a mailbag post, and as always, they came through.

30 things I'll be watching at 2021 Eagles training camp

Philadelphia Eagles training camp is almost here, as players will report to the NovaCare Complex on Tuesday, and the first practice of 2021 camp will be on Wednesday. For my own benefit, I put together a list of things to watch for over the next month or so, and since I went to the trouble of listing them for myself as a guide, I may as well just publish them here as well.
