Three tight end trades that make sense for the Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles' top three tight ends — Dallas Goedert, Grant Calcaterra, and Kylen Granson — are all free agents, and all three might not be on the 2026 roster. A look at 10 seasons of Howie Roseman trades at the start of the new league year

Since 2016, the year Howie Roseman reclaimed his spot as the Philadelphia Eagles' general manager, the Eagles have made 15 trades involving players near the start of the new league year. Some trades you could see coming, some not so much. This year, the two prime candidates to be dealt at the start of the new league year are WR A.J. NFL free agency is just around the corner, and the Philadelphia Eagles are probably going to lose a few good players, as they did a year ago. They'll also add players in free agency, of course, but they'll likely be looking for very low-cost players they deem to be good values (a) because of their salary cap challenges, and (b) because this year's crop of free agents stinks. Here we'll seek to identify a few of those types of guys.

What traits will the Eagles be looking for in their new scheme along the offensive line and at tight end?

The Philadelphia Eagles' offense will look different in 2026 than it did in 2025. With Sean Mannion replacing Kevin Patullo as the team's offensive coordinator and the departure of legendary offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland, what traits the Eagles prioritize at certain positions could also change. Here we'll look at the two spots most likely to see some change — the offensive line, and tight end.
