Josh S. Verne of Gladwyne swindled dozens of investors and business partners out of millions, federal prosecutors say. He also allegedly stole an employee's identity and forged documents. He was arrested Friday in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Their strike would not only derail the daily lives of Philly residents, but impact war production — prompting President Franklin D. Roosevelt to call in the National Guard.

Graffiti Pier partially collapses into Delaware River

Graffiti Pier in Philadelphia partially collapsed into the Delaware River early Wednesday morning. A home security camera recorded video of the incident at the former coal loading dock and current Instagram destination in the Port Richmond neighborhood. The U.S. Coast Guard was called to the scene, but the cause is unknown.

Simone Biles and other members of the gold medal-winning U.S. gymnastics team to perform in Philly

Simone Biles, Jade Carey and Jordan Chiles are among the U.S. Olympic gymnasts set to perform on the Gold Over America tour, which arrives at the Wells Fargo Center on Friday, Oct. 4. The trio helped the U.S. women's team win a gold medal at the Paris Games. The event also will feature pommel horse specialist Stephen Nedoroscik.
