Roadster Rally, a new event on the Ocean City Boardwalk, will have owners displaying their two-seater convertibles along the shore town beachside promenade for a judged competition to be held Saturday, May 11, from noon to 5 p.m. between Sixth Street and 14th Street. The event is free to attend and will feature a variety of makes and models.

Republicans in the Pennsylvania House have called on Attorney General Michelle Henry to conduct an investigation into Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner for his role in the withdrawal of an arrest warrant for state Rep. Kevin Boyle on the eve of last month's primary election. Krasner's office said the Republicans are engaging in "political theater."

The Pennsylvania Game Commission is investigating the discovery of dog treats that had been stuffed with fish hooks on the Appalachian Trail in Lehigh County. A hiker found the treats in Washington Township near the Lehigh Gap Nature Center.

A 12-year-old Chester County girl died on May 4 after she allegedly was tortured and starved for months by her father and his girlfriend at their home in West Caln Township, prosecutors said. Rendell Hoagland, 52, and Cindy Warren, 45, allegedly filmed dozens of videos of the abuse, including shackling the girl to furniture and making her do strenuous exercise.
