New research suggests children of mothers who take Tylenol during pregnancy may experience delayed language skills in early childhood. The study looked at how children born to mothers who used acetaminophen while pregnant performed on language assessments at 2 and 3 years old. Hearing aids can reduce the risk of death by as much as 25% in people who suffer from hearing loss, according to a new study. The devices may help prevent depression and dementia while improving overall health and quality of life. About 40 million American adults have some degree of hearing loss, which can impair the way people socialize and respond to events happening around them. Despite the prevalence of hearing loss in the United States, only about one in 10 people affected by it get hearing aids.January 9, 2024

Arbetina Johnson-Lowery who crashed her minivan into a stopped SEPTA bus last September, causing fatal injuries to her 1-year-old son, has been charged with homicide by vehicle, driving under the influence and related offenses, Montgomery County prosecutors said. A man was was struck and killed by a Market-Frankford Line train during an altercation Thursday afternoon on the platform at 34th Street Station in University City, authorities said.
