He remains missing, meanwhile authorities released video Wednesday showing Cavalcante climbing the walls and an investigation is underway by the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office.

San Diego Padres catcher Austin Nola was recently diagnosed with oculomotor dysfunction, a condition that causes vision problems after people suffer concussions. His baseball performance declined after he was struck in the face in March. He underwent tests after learning the Yankees star Anthony Rizzo, who had been battling similar issues, was diagnosed with post-concussion syndrome. Their symptoms shed light on the dangers of undiagnosed conditions and how symptoms can become chronic.

Andres Marin, 48, of Plymouth Meeting, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter and related offenses in the death of a 7-year-old girl who fell from the back of his truck. Marin allegedly ran over the girl after she fell as he took a turn. The girl was among a group of kids that allegedly were riding unsecured in the back of Marin's truck.

The city released potential designs on Sept. 5 for the Chinatown Stitch, a project that would construct a cap above the Vine Street Expressway to bridge the physical barrier that split Chinatown in two when the highway was built in the 1960s. The cap would also create new space in the densely packed neighborhood that could be used for parks or other amenities.

A South Jersey man is facing criminal mischief charges after he allegedly used his drone to release sea dye into multiple swimming pools in Absecon and Galloway townships, turning the water an alarming shade of green. Patrick Spina IV, 45, was arrested Sept. 1 at Comfort Solutions Heating and Cooling, his business on White Horse Pike in Galloway. The business is near a Quality Inn hotel that was targeted multiple times this summer.

The Wilkes-Barre Police Department mistakenly used a photo of hip-hop star Lil Uzi Vert in a Facebook post about the theft of a dog from a local pet shop on Thursday. Police later updated the photo after being informed of the error. The dog was taken by a man and accomplice who drove off in the direction of Philadelphia, where Lil Uzi Vert grew up. Roc Nation, the rapper's label, said the police department should be 'embarrassed and ashamed.'

Danelo Cavalcante, the convicted murder who escaped Chester County Prison, remained at large on Friday, Sept. 1, 2023. As the search continues, nearby West Chester University canceled Friday afternoon classes and tightened security at campus buildings. Cavalcante escaped on Thursday, Aug. 31, 2023. There is a $10,000 reward for his arrest.

Convicted murderer Danelo Cavalcante escaped from Chester County Prison on Thursday morning. He had been sentenced to life in prison earlier this month for stabbing and killing his ex-girlfriend in Schuylkill Township in April 2021. Officials said Cavalcante was also wanted for killing a man in Brazil in 2017.

Yardley-based Ferguson Contracting has been fined $18,082 after a federal investigation into a balcony collapse that killed a construction worker at the Spinnaker Condominiums in Sea Isle City on Feb. 24, officials with the Occupational Health & Safety Administration said. Jose Pereira, 43, of Philadelphia, died when an eighth-floor balcony on the South Tower crashed onto him as he was working on the exterior of the seventh-floor balcony.

One-fifth of marijuana users in a Washington study showed signs of cannabis use disorder, which the CDC describes as the inability to stop using pot even if it's causing health and social problems. The study found people medicinal and recreational users were both susceptible to dependency symptoms like cravings, higher tolerance for the drug and uncontrolled escalation of use.
