Woman's decapitated body found inside Northeast Philly home, police say
A woman was found decapitated on the kitchen floor of a home in the Lawndale neighborhood of Northeast Philly on Tuesday, leading to the arrest of 34-year-old Ahmad Shareef. The 41-year-old woman was identified as Leila Al Raheel. Shareef is charged with homicide, abuse of corpse and related offenses.November 30, 2022

Historic bank building in Ocean City could be turned into luxury hotel
ICONA resorts reportedly has offered $6.5 million to acquire the historic bank building at 801 Asbury Ave. in Ocean City, New Jersey. The goal would be to renovate the property into a luxury hotel with a ground floor restaurant and retail space. The building's current owner is in bankruptcy, meaning the approval of a sale must go through bankruptcy court. Driver gets prison in wrong-way crash that killed U.S. Army vet in Bucks County
Adrienne Breslin, 46, of Upper Southampton, was sentenced to two to five years in state prison after pleading guilty to vehicular homicide and related charges stemming from a March 2021 crash in Lower Southampton that killed U.S. Army veteran and Korean War survivor Irwin Linder, 87. Breslin also pleaded guilty in two unrelated DUI cases that came in the months after the wrong-way crash along the 300 block of County Line Road.November 29, 2022

CBS 3's Eyewitness News has hired Bill Kelly as the station's new chief meteorologist. Kelly, a Bucks County native, most recently worked at WJLA-TV in Washington, D.C., With the addition of Kelly, meteorologist Kate Bilo will move to the station's 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. newscasts on weekdays. Calf from antelope species, extinct in the wild, born at Lehigh Valley Zoo
A scimitar-horned oryx calf named Eclipse was born at the Lehigh Valley Zoo in Schnecksville, Pennsylvania in November. The antelope species was declared extinct in the wild in 2000 and has been the subject of a number of captive breeding programs, as well as an attempt reintroduce them into the wild in Chad. The animals were once widespread in North Africa, but were decimated by loss of habitat and hunting.November 28, 2022

Milton Street, former Pa. lawmaker and longtime activist, dies at 81
T. Milton Street Street Sr., a former Pennsylvania state legislator and longtime figure in Philadelphia politics, died Monday, Nov. 28, 2022 at 81. Street was the brother of former Mayor John Street and the uncle of current state Sen. Sharif Street. He was known for his shifting party affiliation, his advocacy for the homeless and his commitment to preventing gun violence. Terrell Owens punched a man to ground Saturday night outside a CVS pharmacy in Inglewood, California. Video of the incident was shared by TMZ. Owens told the celebrity tabloid that he was having a friendly conversation with a fan when another man instigated a fight. Twin brothers charged in Atlantic City drug bust that netted 39,000 doses of heroin, fentanyl
Twin brothers Joseph and Justin Suarez, both 37, of Atlantic City, have been charged with allegedly leading a drug ring in the Florida Avenue corridor and Ducktown section of the city. An investigation led to the seizure of approximately 785 bricks containing an estimated 39,205 individual doses of heroin mixed with fentanyl. Another 14 people have been charged for their alleged roles in the drug ring, officials said.November 23, 2022

Supercharged Entertainment Edison, a massive facility on U.S. 1 South in Edison, will debut the "world's largest" go-kart racing course and other attractions on Dec. 16, 2022. The complex boasts a multi-level, temperature-controlled course that has 10 elevation changes and room for four-wide racing. The electric go-karts can reach speeds between 35-40 mph.
