A great white shark was tracked off the coast of New Jersey on April 28 by OCEARCH, a non-profit research organization that leads expeditions and follows the movements of dozens of sharks in order to better understand their behavior. Ironbound, a 1,000 pound shark measuring 12 feet 4 inches, was first tagged by the organization in 2019.

TV cameras caught a man sleeping courtside during the Sixers 116-108 playoff win against the Miami Heat on Sunday night. He is David Kelleher, owner of David Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM in Glen Mills. He explained that he'd had a long weekend and four vodka tonics at the game briefly put him in dreamland, leading to a viral meme. The Sixers and Heat are now tied 2-2 in the NBA Eastern Conference Semifinal series.

The price of a gallon of regular unleaded gas hit a record high average of $4.56 in the Philadelphia region on Friday, up from $4.24 a month ago and $3.05 a year ago. The rising cost of fuel continues to reflect supply pressures created by Russia's invasion of Ukraine, strong demand and weakened supply. The Biden administration and Democrats in Congress have targeted oil companies with new legislation to spur production and increase penalties after a year of record profits.

Pop-star Olivia Rodriguez was at the Phillies-Mets game at Citizens Bank Park on Thursday and cameras caught her and friends dancing inside a suite in the ballpark. The Phillies lost 8-7 after giving up 7 runs in a ninth-inning meltdown. Rodrigo, the 19-year-old artist behind the Grammy Award-winning breakout album "Sour," will perform Friday night at The Met Philadelphia.

Francis Decero, 25, was found dead in South Philly on May 3 near the 1700 block of Vare Avenue. Police reportedly are investigating whether Decero may have been targeted after recently winning a large sum of money in the Pennsylvania Lottery. The victim had been reported missing by his family on April 26.

Two goats were captured by Philadelphia police after they were found roaming around in Kensington before dawn Thursday morning. Video of the incident was shared on the Citizen app. The goats were corralled along. the 2100 block of Belmore Street.

Pennsylvania State Trooper Joseph W. Czachorowski, 44, was arrested Wednesday after investigators found 30 pills of Oxymetholone and two vials of Trenbolone, both anabolic steroids that are controlled substances, at his Chester County home. Czachorowski was assigned to Troop K in Philadelphia.

The remains of a Bucks County man who fought in World War II have been identified by the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, which is tasked with investigating and recovering missing U.S. military personnel. Army Pvt. Walter G. Wildman, 20, of Bristol, was killed in November 1944 action during the Hürtgen Forest offensive, one of the deadliest battles waged by the U.S. Army during World War II. Wildman's remains will now be buried in Newtown Township.

Adventure Crossing USA, a massive mixed-used development in Jackson Township, will include a surf lagoon and 70,000-square-foot water park. The development led by Cardinale Enterprises is a multiphase, 282-acre project off Route 537 in Ocean County, New Jersey. In addition to apartments, hotels, sports fields and a medical campus, other amenities will include an axe-throwing facility, basketball courts, bocce ball, an arcade, laser tag and a cigar and scotch lounge.

A black bear that was spotted roaming through parts of Delaware County on Tuesday was captured overnight and will be released into a less populated area. The Clifton Heights Fire Co. shared a video on Facebook showing the moments leading up to the bear's capture in a yard along West Baltimore Pike. The animal had been hit with a. tranquilizer earlier in the day. Bear sightings have become much more common in Southeastern Pennsylvania in recent years.
