Threatening note found in pocket of Michigan State shooter prompts New Jersey school closures
In the aftermath of Monday night's mass shooting at Michigan State University, police found a note in the pocket of gunman Anthony McRae, 43, that contained threats against schools in Ewing Township, New Jersey, police said. McRae once lived in Ewing, which is just north of Trenton. Public schools in Ewing were shut down on Tuesday as a precaution. The shooting at the campus in East Lansing left three people dead and five other critically injured.February 13, 2023

Teens caught on video beating, robbing pedestrian in Rittenhouse, police say
A 30-year-old pedestrian was assaulted and robbed by a group of four teenagers Sunday night, Feb. 5, along the 1800 block of Addison Street in the Rittenhouse section of Center City, Philadelphia police said. Authorities released surveillance video of the attack and are seeking help from the public to identify the suspects. The victim suffered injuries to the face and had belongings taken by the suspects, police said.February 10, 2023

Apple TV+ could be filming in Bucks County for Ridley Scott-directed crime drama 'Sinking Spring'
The upcoming Apple TV+ crime drama "Sinking Spring," directed by Ridley Scott and produced by Peter Craig, has been linked to film shoots planned in Bucks County, Pennsylvania in February. Crews will shut down Route 113 in Bedminister and Tinicum townships in mid-February. The 8-episode series will be based on the book "Dope Thief" by Philadelphia novelist Dennis Tafoya. Business associate charged in death of Jennifer Brown, the Montgomery County mom he reported missing
Blair Watts, 33, of Royersford, has been charged in the killing of 43-year-old Jennifer Brown, the Montgomery County mother that he reported missing in early January, prosecutors said Thursday. Watts, a business associate who had planned to open a restaurant with Brown, allegedly killed Brown at her home in Limerick and stole $17,000 from her.
