The Gap store at 1510 Walnut Street will close at the end of November, ending a run of more than two decades in Center City Philadelphia. Gap Inc. is in the process of closing approximately 225 brick and mortar Gap and Banana Republic stores around the world.

Man arrested after breaking into FOX29 studio with sledgehammer, police say

Philadelphia police arrested a 58-year-old man who allegedly used a sledgehammer to break into the FOX29 studio on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2020. Investigators said the man was subdued by a witness and later taken into custody after a taser was deployed by a SEPTA police officer.

Man charged in fatal shooting of transgender woman in West Philly

Tracy "Mia" Green, a 29-year-old transgender woman of color, was fatally shot in West Philadelphia on Monday, Sept. 28, 2020. Philadelphia police have charged 28-year-old Abdullah lbn El-Amin Jaamia with murder and related offenses.
