Philadelphia police arrested a 58-year-old man who allegedly used a sledgehammer to break into the FOX29 studio on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2020. Investigators said the man was subdued by a witness and later taken into custody after a taser was deployed by a SEPTA police officer.

Tracy "Mia" Green, a 29-year-old transgender woman of color, was fatally shot in West Philadelphia on Monday, Sept. 28, 2020. Philadelphia police have charged 28-year-old Abdullah lbn El-Amin Jaamia with murder and related offenses.
